Honey-Soy Glazed Salmon June 30, 2011

I’m usually of the school of thought that salmon is best when prepared with the least amount of spices and flavorings — it’s just so good that it can stand on its own! But when I saw this recipe for Honey-Soy Glazed Salmon on PBFingers, I knew I just had to give it a whirl: it cuts down the cooking time (as compared to baking or grilling the salmon), I happened to have the ingredients on hand, and what’s not to like abt salmon?

  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp soy sauce*
  • 1 skinless salmon filet (1 1/4 lbs) cut into four pieces **
  • Salt and pepper

* Use low-sodium, if possible
** I only bought 1 lb and cut it into four pieces — and still felt completely full afterwards!

  1. Heat broiler. Mix honey and soy sauce in a bowl.
  2. Place salmon in a foil-lined broiler-friendly pan and season it with 1/2 tsp of salt and 1/4 tsp of ground pepper. Broil for 5 min. Spoon honey+soy sauce mixture on salmon and broil until salmon is opaque (about 2-5 min more).

So good. So healthy. Need I say more?
